JUVENTUS reportedly enquired about N’Golo Kante during talks with Chelsea over Matthijs de Ligt.
The Blues wanted to sign De Ligt before his summer move to Bayern Munich.
And as part of negotiations Juventus asked about Kante’s availability, despite manager Max Allegri preferring Jorginho, reports Ben Jacobs.
A deal was not agreed but Juventus are said to have retained an interest in Kante, who is in the final 12 months of his contract.
Jacobs claims Paris Saint-Germain are also monitoring Kante’s situation and he is not close to renewing his Chelsea contract despite Graham Potter reportedly being a big fan.
Juventus also plotted a move for Jorginho in the summer but the Italian was happy to stay at Stamford Bridge.
